A few years ago I picked up some wonderful tea on our way out of town for camping. It love chai lattes and buy chai mix sometimes. But the only time I had bought chai tea, I was less than impressed. But for some reason I decided to try a brand I hadn't tried before. I was I glad I did! I loved it. And, on a subsequent camping trip, so did my niece Jess. And my little girl, and anyone else who tried it. I drink it plain or, sometimes, for a special treat, I add a little honey.

That first tea was Zhena's Gypsy Fireside Chai. This is a chai that is made with a rooibos tea so has a bit of an earthy flavor. Since then I have discovered more flavors that Zhenas makes and I enjoy them all. Some of my friends already drink it, some even order it through our co-op. In case you've never tried it, I thought I'd share it here. They also have Chocolate Chai, Coconut Chai and King Chai.
Their Earl Grey is wonderful too -- and they have a Raspberry Earl Grey that is delicious! I had never had a flavored earl Grey other than lady Earl Grey (which I looove). If you like green teas, their Earl Green would be a great one for you to try too.
Do you have a favorite tea? Or a favorite way of making it? Or something different you add to your tea?
I look forward to having more Tea Talk with you:)
Blessings,

How funny that we both mentioned it in cyberspace at the same time!
You introduced me to Zhena's Coconut Chai, and I just got two canisters of it. I LOVE IT!
I used to (and haven't in a long time) make a Stash Chai Tea and mix it with either fresh and hot apple cider or even with the powdered mix.
I can always go back to a good Peppermint... Celestial Season's Candy Cane Lane is the best.
I'm a sweet girl, so my tea always has sugar, raw sugar or honey in it. We drink lots of iced tea, sweetened while brewing - 4-5 bags of lipton and one or two of a flavored tea... peppermint, Orange Starfruit, Earl Gray,blueberry.... the possibilities are endless!
Tea is such a great subject to blog!
ooh, and, if you haven't ever tried it.... instead of a chai latte, try a chai mocha or even chai white mocca!
Ahhh Tea.
Ever since I moved out on my own, I've had more than a dozen varieties on hand at any given moment.
Seriously.
Some of the enjoyment of tea is also in the brewing - the interesting and/or beautiful tea pots and cups with which to enjoy the brew.
Hey, you're from the area, and of my vintage... Any chance you remember the shop in Washington Square that was called The Mocha Tree? There was my first waitressing/dishwashing job - back when I was a sophomore in high school. Fell in love with our Blackberry Iced Tea - brewed in the Boyd's coffee brewer.
My absolute favorite of all time is a Dutch tea - Pickwick brand - around here the only place to find it is at the Dutch import store- it's essentially a fruited flavored tea (a few different varieties available), but it is stronger than most American bagged teas.
I love apricot black tea, and Earl Grey - I'm anxious to try that Raspberry Earl Grey! I also have gone on a Jasmine Green Tea kick - we currently have 5 or more different brands of Jasmine Green on hand - had to figure out which one was best, you know. :D Growing up my #1 favorite was Stash's Ruby Mist, so I still have a soft spot for that one too.
I'm a purist most of the time - I drink my tea straight. No sweetener, no lemon, no cream. The only exceptions would be for those teas that require additives, such as chai (of which I'm not a great fan. I will try the Z's Coconut Chai though, as Celestial Seasoning's Coconut Chai was pretty good.)
Gee, would it have been better for me to have just blogged my own answer and linked it in?
I did try to narrow down all the things I could say about tea...
What a deliciously autumn subject to blog about. And it's my favorite beverage to boot.
My favorite brand of tea is Twinings. I am partial to their particular brand of Earl Grey. I also adore their Lady Jane Grey as well as their English Breakfast.
If I take hot tea, I enjoy heating the water up in a kettle, then brewing it in my 2-cup Brown Betty teapot from England. I always have a cube or two of sugar in it as well as a dash of milk. Tis the British way, you know. :)
If I make iced tea, I love love love sweet tea, Southern style. After brewing on the stove, I add a mixture of sugar and fresh lemon juice for a yummy concoction.
I love the Blackberry Sage tea at Stratford House, but normally I don't like teas with any kind of fruity flavors.
All in all, I'm an Earl Grey girl.
